AUDIO ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility Meets Community at The Danforth Music Hall
The Danforth Music Hall is proud to enhance the theatre experience for patrons who are hard of hearing. Through the support of the Slaight Family Foundation, and in partnership with Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility, our theatre now features the Bettear audio accessibility system bringing clear, real-time sound directly through your Bluetooth enabled hearing aid or cochlear implant.
How to Use Bettear:
Enjoying accessible audio is easy:
- Download the Bettear app before you arrive:
- Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bettear.bettearApp&hl=en_CA
- Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/il/app/ettear/id1528016225
- Bring your smartphone and your listening preference: Bluetooth enabled hearing aids, cochlear implants, or headphones/earbuds
- Open the app, choose the event or performance, and adjust the volume to your comfort.
The Bettear system streams high-quality, low-latency audio, allowing you to enjoy every moment on stage from dialogue to musical cues clearly and confidently.
Made Possible Through Community Support
This accessibility installation delivered by Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility, and generously funded by The Slaight Family Foundation, bringing inclusive audio access to community spaces across the country.
